FACTUAL ACTIVITY RECORD · An activity record based on work that took place

(Not applied) Testing a cancellation fixture

Confirming that rejected changes stay out while only the cancellation record proceeds from a clean state

Activity period:

Purpose

The cancellation process needed a practical check that recording an unadopted change would not carry rejected artifacts into later records.

Implementation

A disposable fixture with no product behavior impact was prepared as an intentionally rejected change and clearly marked against adoption. After verification, it was not applied; only a separate record could proceed from a clean state, with checks preventing rejected files or generated artifacts from being carried forward.

The not-applied flow leaves rejected changes unapplied and continues with records from a clean state.

What was confirmed

Verification results

The fixture passed diff and full verification, but it existed only to test the adoption decision and was not approved as a product change.

Rejection and cancellation were explicit, and the fixture was not applied to the target.

Basis for completion

The review was complete when non-application was confirmed and the process proved it could retain only a cancellation record from a clean state.
